Aphids
Color: Green, black, brown, pink or almost colorless
Length: 0.04″ to 0.39″
They are small mostly less than 1/10″, soft bodied insects of the Aphidoidea family . Whitish specs are often noticed on plants when they are present. These will be cast skins left behind after they molt. Most of the population on plants are females and they will produce leave young’s without mating and quite rapidly. Most are wingless although you may see small numbers of winged insects on a plant.
